A job in a box ignites atrophy
Thoughts ping pong off fractured dreams
Sitting goalless, rotting, mental distrophy

Sweating, walls melting, soul draining
Clocks mock with each tick and tock
Vision blurs, eye’s aching

Opportunities exist, yet heart adrift in deprecation
Progress retarded, selfish complacency infected
Potential wasted, adrift in precontemplation
